I'm here, just woke up from a nap. Lol. I had a long week at work, and this is my second day sick. I came home and took some medicine and it knocked me out. I just woke up and ate some soup, I'm about to take a shower and probably go to bed. Hubby usually calls or texts around midnight, but I emailed him and told him not to tonight. I'm just so exhausted and not feeling good, and I probably wouldn't hear the phone anyway, since I'm about to take some more meds that will knock me out.

Jen..I was thinking that the clots you were talking about was because of the 6 week ick after having a baby.. but after what CUDQ just said thinking I might have not read it right....

Is the clot in your leg? If it is.. you better get your little butt to the ER...you could have a stroke or a bleed in the brain if it becomes loose and starts traveling!

My son's friend ended up in the ICU following a massive stroke due and now in a rehabilitate home to learn to walk, talk and feed herself. This happened to her a a month after having a depo shot. She is like a 2 year old now. =(... 

Wow, Georgia that's crazy/scary. I used to be on the depo. 

Yet another reason I don't want to be on this BC crap. 

Any crazy stories about the Mirena? I'm supposed to be getting it soon. 

It was um, pulled out, during sex. And I gained 40 lbs on depo. 

I'm kinda torn about it. On one hand it would decrease the blinding pain I go through, but on the other hand I'm not ready to quit smoking. I always took a loestrin form and wasn't really worried about it then. Now they want me on a mid grade and I'm inching closer to 30 faster than I care to admit to 

It was.. she was 22 years old. I feel so bad for her and her family. Although these kind of strokes are rare.. they do happen. Alot has to do with genetics.. if you have family members that have heart, stroke or vascular issues..you should take any type of hormones.

I had my tubes tied at 24, so didn't have to worry about BC pills. Probably a good thing since they found the vascular issues. 

As sad as this sounds, I'm not responsible enough to take the pill. So that's out. The depo gave me bad headaches, then when I got off it took me 11 months to get pregnant. I don't want that again. The thought of nuvaring grosses me out. I talked to my doctor for like an hour before we decided Mirena sounded best for me. But idk. 

The one thing that does suck though, because of brain.. I can't take the hormones when I go through menopause.. which will really bite! The hotflashes I heard were horrible! 

Brookee.. is there any risks involved with the Mirena? 

Ectopic pregnancy, the risk of the thing itself attaching to or going through the wall of the uterus, ovarian cysts. 

wow.. that doesn't sound very good either =( The only safe way is just to not have sex.. =/

I read a lot of bad reviews on it and now I'm unsure of my decision.
