it does not hurt the dog at all
If someone was yanking on my stitches I would qualify that as a bit of pain.
Most vets no a days do a inside stitch that never needs attention.
An inside stitch? Do they use robots or alien technology to stitch the dog from the inside?

lol ... They do stitch on the inside. I had heart surgery and had inside stitches. Or did I miss something?
It also is bulged- is this normal?
What is bulged? Is it just inflammation from the skin being sliced open or is there oozing like an infection has set in? Some smelling is going to happen but if its dramatic I would possibly consider an emergency vet

No, you were probed by an alien lol..... I've never seen an animal spayed or neutered that didn't also have external stitching or stapling showing
No smelliness ... it is just like a little roll. I looks like they rolled the skin up then stitched it. I dunno, I guess I should have asked more questions, but my toddler kept trying to run away, so I was preoccupied. Ugh.
did it ever occur to you muffin top leah, that youve p1ssed off more than just one person on here? i can garuntee you 100 percent that im not macgruber. so go potty train your kid or something.
I won't wake up if she is licking ... I wish I had that damn collar.
My Chi had to have one of those, cuz he was all about those stitches. After the stitches and the collar came off, I think he licked himself for 20 minutes straight! :D
I was going to offer mine but with how RUDE people on here are, I will not give my stuff to any of them.
its not that people here are rude, its your stupidity is why everyone is mean to your hefalumpalous asz.
many vets knot stitches. its from years of habit. anyway this is real common kiss. don't panic. and her intestine won't fall out. the cut is not deep enough and the internal stiches will assure it. anyway get some butterfly bandage things. walmart has um. use those to keep it from spreading even more. make sure to keep it clean. if it gets worse, reddens or looks infected bring her in. but i'm sure she'll be fine :)
I took her today. The vet said it is swollen more than it should be and put her on anti-inflammatory and antibiotics. He also told me to put a shirt on her so she can't lick it. The weird thing is - she is not licking it and it doesn't seem to bother her. He told me to do warm compresses as well and I have to take her back on Friday.
Thanks JM, Brie, Leah, and Nadine for your help, and thank you chi chi for the PM. You answered all of my questions and made me more at ease. I appreciate it :)
